We're off to a wedding today for one of my husband's old roommates. These people love to party it up, so it should be interesting.
I usually dread going to weddings due to my husband's lack of ability to plan. You see, every wedding we go to usually entails us running around like chickens with our heads cut off on the morning of the wedding...usually in search for one or two components of his outfit and believe me he has to be on of the most persnickety people I have ever met. I told him last weekend to get everything ready BEFORE Saturday....see what you have, see what you need, but apparently that meant for me to get all of his stuff together and iron it.
Thursday arrives and he says to me "honey, can you please go out and look for some new laces for my dress shoes". UH, no, I have 40 million other things to do, like groceries, cooking dinner, doing laundry, and some Mabel's Labels work. I don't understand why he can't get them in the morning before he went to work. So, in the end he got out of work a little early last night and went to the mall himself and got new laces.
Everything is now ready except I have to pick-up the card and the money, which I can do in between the ceremony and the reception.

She is finally home!!!
Mackenzie is finally home after a 12-day holiday with my mom. While I am very happy to have her home, there are a couple of things I noticed while she was gone:
- I only did 3 loads of laundry instead of the usual 6. (there are three of us, and I now realize that she contributes to more than 1/2 of the laundry)
- I only spent $75.00 at the grocery store, instead of the regular $135.00 and had food left at the end of the week.
- When I cleaned, the house STAYED clean
- It was very, very quite
- I got A LOT of work done
- I got a good nights sleep every night!
Off to spend some quality time with my daughter!

Product Review
We had these burgers the other night They were very tasty, juicy, and only 1/2 the fat of their regular burgers. We will definitely be having these again.

The weekend!!!
Yay, it is finally the weekend and 2 more days until Mackenzie comes home! I am really missing her as she has been gone since July 26th on a boating holiday with my mom.
I also can't believe that it is August already... the pinch is on to find a new daycare provider close to my dd's school. Her current provider is wonderful, but lives too far away from the school and will not be able to pick her up.
QUESTION OF THE DAY - Yesterday I saw someone with wrist sweat bands on, and I thought to myself - why do they call them sweat bands? I don't know too many people whose wrists sweat. I can totally understand calling the ones that go on your head sweat bands.
